I didn't even know I had this picture. This is cape town. (And also the view I had when I jumped 10,000 feet from a plane). Annnyway, I really started appreciating nature and its beauty. I think the world is suuucch a beautiful place and its underrated all these natural landscapes that form all over the world. Just thought I'd share. Next time you're driving down to the keys or flying in a plane.. Look around you.. And then think next time you throw garbage on the floor or do other unsustainable things. Were killing our planet! GO GREEN!!!!

We already did a whole ropes course and ziplined through the jungle. Sky Diving!

Hereeee I am all suited up! How's this for a story... All my girl friends went sky diving in hawaii (well at least the ones who wanted to go) and after seeing their videos I decided it was something I wanted to do. So I found a crew going in cape town.. First morning we arrive we go to the markets then to the van that's picking us up. I'm not so nervous because I knew what to expect after seeing everyones videos and even the girls who would be the biggest scaredy cats of life went and said they loved it so I really wasn't worried. We get to the hanger where the planes are and this guy in an accent is scremaing at all of us to make groups of three. There is 16 of us which is not divisable by three and I was in the group of four and he like kept yelling at us that were 4 people it was so weird but kinda funny so jon and deepaul put their names on the white board and then me and kyle do and were prepared to be the last group. I ask about getting a video and he says there is none, they're broken. I'm like YOUR KIDDING. Ur telling me I'm going to jump 10,000 feet out of a plane and I'm not going to be able to watch it afterwards. HA! He says I'm sorry blah blah blah... 10 minutes later this man comes back... WHERE IS MOLLY.... I say I'm right here... He goes who are you going with I say Kyle... WELL WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR GET YOUR GEAR ON YOU GOTTA GO! I'm about to explain to him were supposed to go lasr but he cuts me off and says You wanted a camera pauls gunna film you. So off I went into my harness.. And kyle and I were the first ones to go. The plane ride up we were laughing and smiling and looking at the view. At this point I knew it was happening... The only way down was out of the plane so there was no turning back. We kept asking how high we were and our ansewers were 2 thousand, 4thousand (not even half way) so we stopped asking that question bc we didn't even wanna know! Paul my tandem starts screaming in my ear I can't hear a damn word he's saying something about left right left right I don't know. Next thing the plane door opens and we hear a big wooossh sound. 3 seconds later... Kyles out the door. Gone in a flash. Here's when I start freaking out! Paul is pushing me towards the door and I'm just saying oh no oh no oh noooooooo ahhhhh (as I'm zooming through the air at 120 miles per hour) then I start smiling and laughing and screaming this is amazing!!! Coolest thing I've ever done in my life. 30 seconds later he pulls the shoot and we go flying into the air! He steers the shoot around alittle and then let's me steer it. Spinning around in circles just looking and the view. Then pauls steers us home for a safe landing. And that was sky diving... So for those of you who are interested we can have a dvd watch party (in less than a month) when I come home!

Passover

I hope everyone enjoyed their passover dinners! I was so sad I couldn't be with my family and friends this year, after all, passover is my favvvorite holiday! But not to worry, we had a very large ceder with over 100 people on the ship! And we went through the entire haggadah!! How crazy! Anyway the macaroons were AMAZING! And my friends had some yummy matzahball soup! I kept kosher for like two days.. The two days we had left on the ship till our arrival in south africa haha better luck next year! Troop Beverly Hills

Never fails to be the best movie to ever exist on this planet. I'm watching it for the third time on the ship and it is my pleasure to induct as many of my friends into the world of tbh. I'm watching with lil lacey rach and sam and only lacey has seen it before and she is so on my page about how unbelievable it is and I wanna just say every line because I know every line but I'm resisting so I don't ruin the entire movie for the rest of the bunch. Its soooo good I'm actually obsessed maybe the girls will let me reenact a scene or two when its done if I'm lucky. We shall seeeee!!!

After visiting the yoga demonstration we all met outside the port and did the 10 minute walk thru the industrail port to the main gate where we would approach hundreads of autorickshaws which has become a common form of transportation for us. While 15 men are trying to convince us that we need to go with them we accept a friendly man who immediately whips out two notebooks hidden under his driver seat filled with pictures, letters and postcards and everyone has written something along the lines of johnny is the best! Or thank you johnny! And we are happy but not suprised to find that many are signed sas spring '05 or sas fall '07. We trusted our decision and were excited to join his book at the end of the day. We had nooooo idea what we should do/where we should go so we kinda left it all up to johnny to decide and man did he do a great job or whattt. This first day in india will have later become the best spontaneous day of exploring we've had!! We had a few things in mind for the day and we made it very clear to eachother we were to get our saris and lots of soulvineers and markets and hopefully henna is we can find! So first place we go is this market shop that the drivers obviously know the people who work there because it was not cheap they wanted 40 dollars for the cheapest ones and we were like uhhh that can't be right but we stayed anyway and all tried them on which is what you see me doing here in the picture! It was so fun and we took such silly pictures with all our colors on and then left the store. Our drivers were like what did u buy and we said nothing and they didn't understand why and we said cheap cheap! (I mean were in india comeee on) so they take us to a much cheaper store and we all get saris for about 250 ruppees which converts to just over 5 dollars. Perfect. (Sorry getting nauseaus on the bus gunna pause for a while...)

Hello americans! To be honest, we have just arrived in cochin off the plane from dehli and it is the evening of my fourth day in india. (We have been doing an extensive amount of traveling everyday and our wake up calls were for 3 4 and 5 am the past 3 mornings) So much has happened and I've experienced so much. I have plenty of pictures on my phone documenting a bunch of different events that occured and its so difficult to really do it all when its happening because so much is going on... So ill send a few pictures here and write about some stuff but there's no way to do it all... So let's begin with the yoga demonstration that we saw when we first arrived! Looook at that formm!

Life

Sooo. I'm a very silly person... Last night we were supposed to set our clocks back 30 minutes (I know howwwww weird is that) so the time here for me now is 10 and a half hours ahead of you east coasters... So anyway I forget to set my clock back anddd also the boat stopped last night at 4 am so we just drifted from then till about now. So I think I woke up bc I felt that we weren't moving and like was scared I was missing india or something.. Haha so normally when I wake up and lili isn't in her bed I can guess what time it is because lili has class at 8 am and goes to breakfast first. So I wake up and lili isn't there so I'm like aright its after 730 usually before 815 too (I don't like to set an alarm bc I like when my body wakes up naturally so I go into the day feeling fully recharged) haha anyway so I get up and press my phone so I can check the time... ITS 718 I'm like woahh lili got up and out early this morning. So I make my way towards the bahtroom (which is like two steps) and out pops lili and I Jump so scared and she screams so scared!! And we just go on with our morning routine and I go back to my phone and look at lili and check my phone and look at lili and I slap my head and say I forgot to set my clock back thirty minutes and she is so dead and just looks at me and I'm like lili does that mean its..... And she goes yes... (Have u ever woken up at 720 and then realize 30 minutes later that its now earlier than you woke up?!?!?!). Anyway I got over it being that today is my first test day in my world cities class (which means its only my second test on the ship so far) and thought I might as well get dressed and ready... Also I NEVER go to breakfast on the ship bc I didn't really think that there's anything for me to eat there and I HAD plenty of delish bars robco sent me in the beginning of the semester that I eat every morning (except for those DISCUSTING vega bars sorry mom no offence). Well my friends told me to stop eating my good ones because I'm quickly running out and they said save them for meals in india because its possible were going to get very sick there so I thought okay maybe ill start trying to go to breakfast. So I told lili I'd meet her up there and I went and got dressed in my little gym shorts (which dominique said, though she stole it from eliana, are e for epic) and one of my new super cool cambodia tanks I got for a dollar pony tail sneaks brushed my teeth took my vitamins (UGH WHICH IM TOTTTTALLY RUNNING OUT OF and its freaking me out becaue I'm sooo good about takign them everyday and I'm almost out of my multi and b-12 which lili says ill have brain malfunctions if I don't take it). And grabbed my hrm and watch and ipod for the gym and I was on my way upstairs... Now I'm so overwhelemed... There are rows and rows of biscuts, crissonts, danishs, cinnimon buns, CHOCOLATE crissonts and I'm like ugh grodyyy what am I going to eat so I turn around oh lovely fruit salad ill have some of that... Then there's eggs some undercooked gross pink meat of some kind potatoes (probablly left over from last nights meal) yogurts french toast (ew) and finally the table of cereallll boxxes and boxes of cereal... And I look at my choices.... Corn flakes, I think hmm what did I always learn about checking cereals... Turn the box over to see the ingredients... HFC, I put the box back down... Pick up the next one all-bran, sounds like a viable option, the picture on the box looks nice and healthy... Turn it over... HFC, put it back down... Now the only two left are frosted flakes and unfrosted mini wheats... I don't even have to pick up the frosted flakes bexause I already know.. So I grab the mini wheats... Interesting... No HFC so I put it on my plate... Keep walking thru and I see a hot bin of oatmeal that looks to watery to even taste... And huge baskets of bread and rolls all sorts of kinds and all the sudden a light bulb goes off in my head! I bought almond butter (depicted above) in vetinam when we went to the gourmet market!!!! That's I've been dying to try!!! I put my stuff down with lili and say I will be right back! Runnn down to my room and then enjoy a delish piece of whole wheat toast with almond butter... All my problems are resolved.... Well except for the vitamins! Ps my nails are sooooo long right now! Okay time to study with domsssss! Pps happy spring break to the miamiers I can't believe I'm half way done already!!!

SEA OLYMPICS

yesterday was sea olympics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you know how i explained in the beginning how everyone is divided up into "seas" which is like a certain group of rooms like deck 4 port side (me) we are the RED SEA and then the other side is a different sea and so on for each floor... there were 10 seas including the life long learners/staff/kids on the ship that participate..let me explain.. sea olympics=color war but with 10 teams... each sea was given a different color and we competed in sooo many different events.. each sea has two captains ours was my friend david stone aka stone and this other kid conner... sign ups for events happened lonnngg before the games began and like our sea just wasnt into it at all our llc (living learning coordinater) is like the worst of any sea on the ship bc she like doesnt do anything for us at all and all the other llcs got soo into it and basically my whole sea did not want to partcipate besides for a few of us of course.. we jut never knew what was going on or where to be or what to sign up for it was like soo unorganized... the night before was opening ceremonieseach sea had to do their team chant... we had NO idea we were supposed to do this... so all the seas come in the union with craaazzzzy decorated banners... team mascots.. like such loud cheers and formations and we had NOTHING. except for the ONE cheer our llc janelle taught us on the first day on the ship that went R-E-D S-E-A red sea red sea all the way!so thats what we didwe left there feeling so shitty lke we have no idea whats going on were gunna get murdered.... the dean announces that the winners get to get off the ship first in florida and elianas birthday is that day so i was SURE they were winning because she was threatening them ALL that they had to win hahaso one of the events we actually had to do somehting for was lipsyncing because we couldnt go up there with nothing and didnt want to make fools out of ourselves so about 9 of us stayed after and i coreographed a signing dance to the yellow submarine which was the song our captains selected out of a hat. (besdies im a professional at airband from my 8 summers  at vega) we did a silly dance (i have the whole thing on video) but this well come back to laterso by the end of that pratice we were fine and felt greatanother thing that HAD to be done well was synchronized swmmingand we have ALOT of boys in our sea... more than most other seas do.. so 4 of them insisted that they do itnow i had seen another group praticing early and theyw ere HISTERICAL so i challenged our boys cause the ones doing it are my really good friends and i told them they needed to make it funnnier than the other teams and they accepted the challenge but it was also 10 pm the night before they had to perform and they had nothing and the pool was closed so they couldnt pratice.. they say meet at deck 7 (pool) at 9 am adn they look at lili and i and said ... u guys are coming...wait i said... you guys dont have a song!!!! they were like oh yeah we need a song... and i had my ipod with me (which means i have a techno remix to every song possible) and is start thinking ... what kinda song has a story line/is a classic/will make people laugh... MY HEART WILL GO ON TECHNO REMIX.... i played it for the boys they said perfect done greatest thing everso we all call it a night and lili sets her alarm for 730 so she can get up and go to breakfast i set mine for 8 am because thats what time i usually get up and dont go up to breakfast... lilis alarm goes off at 730 am i JUMPPPP out of bed sooo excited for the day and lilis like omg please let me sleep and i just wake up and start coloring and making signs untill she gets up and we go to the school store and get red sas tshirts and cut them up and put on all our red gear bandanas tape ribbion my sequin hat everything! so great! then its allmost 9 so we go and meet the boys upstaris by the pool.. now this is their first time ever praticing and the actual event is scheduled for like 2 oclock..  theyre pratcing out of the water because another group is using the pool and the whole point was for them to be the first ones up to the pool so they can have dibs on it! so anyway all morning we got them to finalize the whole routine and it seemed pretty good and they were gunna be fine....then about 10-1030 the real events started...first was hula hoop and THE GIRL WHO SIGNED UP TO DO IT DIDNT SHOW UP so it was right infront of me and obviously i stepped in for her because i always rather do something myself then watch epople because i always think i can do it better than anyone else (haha) so anyway i was the first one out because we had to do it throwing a ball on one foot with hula hoops that werent even round they were like semi circular and it was retarded so i got out firstthen was limbo which me and lili signed up for but there were also other events going on at the same time so everyone was all over the place and all the sudden lili tells me shes not doing limbo anymore and instead is going do to the sponge thing and im like great lili thanks and im so embaressed to go limbo alone but i think i might beable to get my team a spot in this eventso that was my goaladn were going around and arund and my back starts to hurt and im dying and hurting and then its down to three and my friend lucas is like MOLLY SPREAD UR LEGS WIDE and i got down and started doing my crab walk under the limbo stickk and my whole belly hit the bar and so i got my team third place! which was better than nothing because we had not yet won an event...i go to report back to my team.. obv i had many supporters there at limbo but i go back to find out that lili and her crew got first place in the sponge relay! and that we had one first place win one second place and two third places before 1130 and all the sudden my whole team is like WOAH lets actually TRY now and maybe we can win!1130: TUG OF WARwho knew our sea had THE BIGGEST GUYS ON THE SHIP?!!?!?!?sooo out of the blue three massive guys come out and step into play tug of war and three pretty girls tooone team down... second team down... third team down... then it came down to us vs the adradic sea (white) who became our main competition for the day...WE TOOK THEM DOWN IN SECONDSand tottttally killed tug of war like in 5 minutes it was over and we took the winafter lunch we were in second place to the white teami cant even tell you how suprised we all were and all the sudden we like came together as a team and decided we can/are going to  do this!!! we were down like 40 points from white at lunch timefirst event after lunch was the singing sasers which was the lipsingwe went last which sucked because we had suchhh a silly routine to yellow submarine...teams weer coming out with thriller, lady gaga and we had YELLOW SUBMARINE AND WE ARE THE REDDDDDDD TEAM like that just doesnt make sense. the white team, they had spice girls and had 5 guys dress up as the different spcice girls and lipsync every word of the song... the room was cracking up dying and our mouths dropped like for sure for sure theyre taking the win for this... we were last and did our little gitty song and dance flawlessly but it wasnt as extravogant as theother groupsnext was synchonized swimming, i dont even remember which one was hte white team and what they did so that was good for us the boys we saw earlier werent as funny as the other day and let me tell you... SOMEONE SPRINKLED SOME MAGIC DUST ON OUR TEAM BECAUSE OUR BOYS KILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEDDDD it in the swimming they were perfectly in unison didnt miss a beat everything was perfect they were histerical and amazing i cant wait to show you the video of thatso our team is now SO PUMPED UP one event left to go... apache relayi was doing flip cup and we were pratcing for sooo long just flipping cuups and all the sudden dver shows up passes me the tshirt (baton) and ew were off boom boom boom boom four in a row we finished the flip cup i POWER WALKED (be were not aloud to run) to the tieniments square for the last event to finish off the relay we picked up a fish with a magnet and then ran straight into the union for our final time 7:31 ... then the second heat went... the first team finished at 7:33 which meant we got first place in apache by 2 secondsand that was sea olympics.. delish barbeque outside by the pool with veg burgers fruit desert corn potato skins everything u could think of sooo nicely set up by our wonderful crew and then we all anxiously awaited 8 pm for closing ceremonies where we did a final cheer and they announced the winners of the lipsyncing, synchronized swiming, spirit points, banner and of course over all winner..lipsinigng we took a tie for second place- adriatic (white) got NOTHING we were sooo shockedspirit we got nothing.. cause we really didnt have alot of team spirit from the start so wasnt suprised adriatic took third.. FUCK!banner NOTHING... ours was an actually red C haha get it? adriatic took FIRSTSYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING - FIRST PLACE! ADRIATIC NOTHINGGGGGEVERYONES FREAKING OUTTHEY ANNOUNCE THIRD PLACE - GREEN TEAM MEDITERRAINANSECOND PLACEEE - DRUMROLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL ADRIATIC WHITEEFIRST PLACE-- THE RED SEAAAAAAACROWD GOES WILD!!!HAHAsooo expect me and my winning team to be the first sea aloud off the ship in FLORIDA!!!!!!!! wooohooooowhat a day best day ive ever had in my life legit i loved every second of it it was the mosttttttttt funnn in the worlddddthats why we passed out at 10 pmi had zero voice what so ever but it was so funn and i took tons of pictures and videos.. woohoo! go red sea

Terror

I dk if any of you heard but there's a major terrorist threat outside singapore over the oil tankers and all day yesterday our ship was stopped there refueling and then we sailed out of there last night. I swwwwear I heard a bomb/missile explosion as I was going to sleep last night. Scary stuff. If I die in these next few hours... Thank you mom and dad for sending me on this amazing trip! And I love my family soo much! And that's all folks!

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE. Now that I am practically a world traveler... I believe customs is the silliest, stupidest, most pointless thing in the world. Um ur gunna make me stand in line after flying on a plane to look at a little blue book with my picture in it?! Is that a joke! I just wanna get to where I gotta go. The worst is like getting let out of a country (cambodia) and then going back into a country you've just been in a few days ago (vietnam) its not like I changed race or something! Customs doesn't make sense at all and it makes traveling internationally annoying and slow and tedious. That's my opinion.

HELLOOOOO OUT THERE

hiiii!! i am in the airport in seim reap where we just left angkor wat to go back to ho chi minh city, vietnam to get back on the ship. whhhatt an experience cambodia was. ps so they bring us to the airport sooooooo early andddd check us in before hand so lili and i found computers and are raping them because its free.. i cant even tell you the last time i typed on an actual key board... anyway just to update you all my heel is okay for now.. gunna put some neosporin on it when i get back to theship but we cleaned it up with a bandaid for now which was the best we can do. i cant believe i justleft one of the seven wonders of the world... i deff would say that wedidnt have enough time to explore but sooooo many funny stories and silly thigns happened that i wishhh i could just plug in my camera and put up all my pictures and videos to help tell stories.. so were getting a little taste of everything wherever we go and icant wait tocome back to all these places already. everything is sooo cheap here and lots of great places to invest herefor those of u who are interested! sounds like we might be boarding sorta soon so no time for stories but i am going to send pictures and stuff from my phone and try and put up pictures in india of china and vietnam/cambodia! i miss everyone soo much!!! hi grammy and zayde and nannny!!!!! :)

My first boo boo

So were leaving our last stop at cambodia which is the leopard gate or palace or something and I realized I left my sunglasses in one of the many soulvineer shops we've been stopping at all along the way and I ran because even though I had 20 minutes and was wearing flip flops annnd its 95 degerees out I thought it would feel good to get my body going a little bc I haven't worked out since we have left the ship so I come back and climb up the stairs to sit down with my friends and I notice this red goo on my heal and I was like ewww what is stuck to me and I went to such it and my skin starts moving around!! How gross!!! So now I have to get some water and bandaids to clean it all up! I'm sure someone here will help me take care of it so I should be fine but to be honest our trip leaders for this trip are not very nice. But we honestly had the best time in cambodia we got soooooooo many goodie bracelets and met so many cute little kids and everyone is so nice here and the hotel was amazing ps I got this GINGER BODY WRAP it was sooooo delish she wrapped me all up after spreading ginger mud all over my body and then put towels on top of me and then gave me the best head massage of life and then I showered and got a load of ginger lotion. So good for the skin! Ok going to take care of this mess!

First angor wat experience!

OUR BUS BROKE DOWN. They sent us the tiniest bus of life and when we all finally get on it... It doesn't turn on... Allow me to remind you its 35 degrees celcuis today which converts to 95 degree.. Were sitting on the floor in the street and mer is reading to us 50 ways to flirt and get what you want from the most recent publication of cosmo... Ur lucky to get a spot in the shade our broken bus is providing. I'm sitting on my duffle bag crushing the bag of granola crisps (blueberry) I brought with me.. Ah alas new bus....

Tunnels

So we just did our main vietnam activity! Literally every port we get a lot of free time but the best things are doing the sas activities. We just left the cu chi tunnels and I'm amazed! It was great. We had to get up at 6 am to leave regardless of the fact that we had just gotten back at around 2.. Took an hour and a half bus ride up to the tunnels and our tour guide took us thru the whole thing! Everyone I'm sure knows the story of how the vietnamese hid during the war. Well we just got to go in the actual tunnels they hid in! and like walk through them. Well not actually walk bc there like a foot tall but climb thru them I guess. We got to see how they made food, hid smoke, deterred american soldiers, and basically survived bc of these tunnels. Lili and I also shot AK47s!! We got silly straw hats and everywhere we go, everytime we return to the ship some how lili and I always wind up with piles of souviners and little junk! But sooo much of it! Anyway such a great trip its only 11 am and werre already on our way back to the ship.. Goodnight eastcoasters!

Nam

Just got off the ship .2 seconds ago... It is scorchhhhhhhhhhing hot I'm actually drenched! We step a food off the ship and get attacked by 800 motor bikers, bicycles, cab drivers everything! I'm freaking out they are stalking us as if they were paparazzi we can't get away from them! I'm kinda liking all the attention! We feel like celebraties! But its so irratating cause we keep saying no and then 50 more come over to us! We just wanna find an atm haha ps this is al happening right now!!! This is going to be a hot longgg sweaty day! Phew I'm dying... We can't find a good cab! Gotta be so careful here! (But don't worry I have my gucci belt bag dad got me in italy in 9th grade on me) hahaha so long

here is what we first experienced at the rayoken.. when we arrived we had a traditional tea ceremony and our little japanese lady friend came and served us different teas and then rapped us up in tradtional kimonos!

Who misses a blogger??

Sooooo much has happened in china phew I'm wipped out I can not nearly try and cover it all... But I really feel like writing about this for some reason... One of the most fullfilling, rewarding things I've ever done in my life. We took a prepaid sas trip to beijing... The itinerary never said anything about visiting a school or orphanage but whn we got on the bus we got a detailed itinerary... Everyone was freaking out that our afternoon at lieasure suddenly dissapeard. To go to a school? Kidss, orphans? Nott interested... WOW let me tell you.. We were wrong.. The school orphanage was created by a man who's family was badly burned in an explosion... And he went bankrupt trying to pay meidcal bills and wound up begging for money on the streets.. While doing this he met many orphan children and started takeing them in and helping them eventually he got the government to pay for his family medical bills and started a school and home for orphans... He now has 100 children and he teaches them and takes care of them... They receive many donations and voulenteersm.. We went there and our job was to first clean and then play with th children... My bus as assigned the library and we maybe organized thouuuuuusands of books into piles by size. The books were all over the floor shelves spread out everywhere... We got everything off the floor and here is proof that I got on my hands and knees and swept the floor! And I actually enjoyed it... Noone is going to believe me I know but remember I went to camp for 8 years and I haaaavve used a broom before contrary to what you readers may believe. Lili was quite impressed with me and she snapped the picture when I wasn't even looking! All in all bejing was incredible. I love that we have time to explore on our own in lots of cities but doing a group trip for beijing was the best idea ever. There is soo much to see and learn and our tour guides were amazing. Oh haha so out of 98 people on the trip 11 were vegetarian and at every group meal we went to they had "vegetarian tables" thank god my friend chelsea was with us and vegetarian also so we got to sit together but honestly it was the funniest thing of life at every meal we had to be like ok bye friends gotta go sit at the vegetarian table. We did rickshaws and there were even vegetarian rickshaws because after our ride we were brought into peoples homes for dinner. It was beyond the most incredible once in a life time experience that they brought us into their homes and cooked us dinner... We even learned how to make dumplings! I'm so impressed with the trip sas set up for us and I don't think other people got to experience that kind of homey enviornment.. Anyway I just wanted to do a quick update... Were just exploring hong kong and totally loving all of china ugh its fabulosoooooo. I'm never coming homeeeee!

Just left the park hyatt with lili had a great night with the geller fam oh man what a crew we got it onnn they took us up to the 94th floor of the tallest building in shanghai to a beautiful bar with live music..... We didn't know it was ladies night and by ladies I mean gay bar all night but we just went with it me and lili looked like a couple because of the shiny matching headbands we purchased earlier today... We just dannced to the music of the live band and guess what... He let me take over the miccccc obv I owned it and the crowd went wild! Were walking back onto the ship right now and every second it sounds like someone just got shot but not to worry its just all the fireworks going off everywhere in celebration of the new year.... Going to try and get as much sleep as possible um we have to be up in 4 hrs for our flight so I gotta go and be silly and pack w lillllssss I know she's a little (woo hoo) when she tells me she wants to listen to MY MUSIC (aka blasting house) as were packing/going to sleep... Ah the ship approaching the steep stailwell up to the 5th floor and getting our bags searched and patted down weirdly makes me feel like I'm home.. Adios

My new obession

So since my family couldn't come visit I'm living vicariously thru kimby and hers... Here we have her glamourous sister suzie who today purchased a delicious silk rrrrrrr(roll the r)obe from the silk factory modeling the adorable red equine bow lili and I bought for kimby when we were off on our own... Today lili and I purchased matching head bands and hats to keep us warm in beijing... Um so we went to visit my new family who is staying at the ritz and they fed us with amazing food and oodles of wine which resulted in mucho sillyness.... Just wanted to blog about my new adopted family and lili and I are doin aright venturing thru shanghai on our own don't you fret! Tomorrow at 5 am off to beijing either we can't go to sleep tn or we will miss our flights bc we are very sleep deprived and I can't wait to be sleeping in on a plane just for a few hours everything here is non stop its like a mix of nyc vegas and miami so were in loveeeeeee w shanghai. Ps I know I shouldn't be sying we wanna sleep and that we have been at kimbys hotel (the ritz) on the concierge floor the entire afternoon but let me tell you the views were fabulous and we sw everything u need to know about shanghai. Including fabulous fireworks in celebration of the last day of the new year!! Soooo fun!!
Pps I just asked lili how to spell shei shei. (Which means thank u in chineese) and she hhmmmmmmmed hahahahahahahha cracking up (kimby u will die) okay byee!!!

We are still waiting on the ship for everyone to get cleared through customs its 32 degrees out I'm actually freezing I was not made/prepared for this weather whatsoever so this is going to be a very rough 8 days! Soo excited to be in china and we already have a whole list of vegetarian places to try! Kimbys fam is here so we just went outside to find them and wave!!! They're silly... Can't wait to go exploring. Today we are going to the water village which is like the venice of china! Talk to ya laterrr guys!

Evening activities

A few nights ago we met all our our crew at ice bar tokyo. It was right near our hotel in ginza and we just walked there. They give us huge eskimo jackets as seen in the picture and some people even put on the boots. My toes and fingers were numb! Everything was made out of ice literally the bar the walls and even when u order a drink they give it to u in a block of ice with a hole in the center! They only let u stay for 45 minutes so afterwards we went bar hopping for a while untill we settled down at a club called feria where we danced the night away!! I just love to dance I don't even care about the drinking part but I just grab my dance partner jayne and we get down! The music was so great there reminded me or miami just enough ugh what a great night!

Rayoken

We are at this traditional rayoken hotel in kyoto. So much to say about it... Last night we arrived and they took us to our rooms and brought us tea. Afterwards our little japanese friend girl who does everything for us brought us all kimonos to get dressed for dinner... We took so many pictures and were actually cracking up so ull see them later.. So me lili and kimby all SHUFFLED along with our japanese friend I forgot her name and she brought us to our dinner room. We ate with three other girls here from sas. It was an 11 course meal.. Not the one pictured above. Lili has a picture of each piece of food we literally received. Usually each course waslike a taste of something and every course included fish of some kind. I CANT EAT ANY MORE FISH. Last nught we also had to pick what we wanted for breakfast this morning. Ull see in a second. Anyway dinner last night was vial but it was like what they consider gourmet feast like they gave us so so so so much food and we would just laugh everytime they brought us something out.. Such an amazing experience though... So all of us were soo fished out. Next we go back to the room to get ready for our bath. Lili and I showered in our room and then we all put our robes back on to head to the communial bath. I wish more than anything I had a picture but yes the three of us got naked in a bath together, wait.. Made of wood. Like a wooden nugget or something hahaha sorry I'm sure this sounds so weird/strange to you guys but it was sooo fun and funny for us.. We we're just naked in a tub of wood. Ha okay then we rubbed all these silk oils they had on our arms and legs and sprayed lavendar and all this delish smelling stuff and shuffled back upstairs... We got back and all our beds were set up three huge futons on the floor in the middle with huugee comforters sooo warmm ugh then we called robco for.a little an we were all cracking up. PS THANK YOU TOM EIN AND BRAD FOR DOING THIS FOR US!!! So we debated going out for a walk but we were just too comphy here and it was so late and we were so tierd from the last two nights so we turned on our flat screen tv only to find that every channel was in japaneseee ugh I passed out. 745... Lilis alarm goees off 815 japanese friend walks in... I'm still sleeping... Exhausted... (This was all just now btw) I finally get up because the woman needs to move our beds to set breakfast up... Remeber how I said we had to order breakfast when we got here... Miss kimberly ordered a regular western breakfast... LILI AND I ORDERED TRADITIONAL JAPANESE BREAKFAST why? I don't know. That is what is pictured above. That is the reason why I'm writing this and want to throw up right now. We all stared at kimby with her little bread basket and omlette and fruit and coffee.. More fish that's what we got. And never again do I want to look at a piece of raw or cooked fish... 2 days to go... Good think I have plenty of bars... Will blog more about other things that went on in japan remember this is not in order!!!

Hotel Ibis

This was our hotel room from the first night... Tooooo funny. Does anyone know about the bathrooms here? They're soooooo weird they all have bidets.. I've never used one (and I didn't dare try it either) but we were cracking up about how different everything is and the culture and cleanliness... Don't have a pic of the second hotel but the first night we stayed in roppongi which is like where you go out the second night we stayed in ginza which is more of a upper scale shopping district.. The hotels were very different... Supprisingly the ginza one was a lot cheaper! (And a lot nicer) the shower was great too in case you were wondering and they gave us all little like bags with toiletries in it everyone had a field day over that! They were both convienently located to trains so it was so easy (and fun) getting around everywhere! Okay ugh getting tierd I think I need to nap now... Adios

Traditional Japanese Meal

Finally relaxation we've been going nonnnn stop for literally 72 hrs and were exhausted. Just sat down on the bullet train and I'm gunna try and show you as much as possible before I pass out/phone dies whichever comes first haha so these are random stories, tales, adventures, journeys, thoughts, comments not in any specific order so here we go!! Last night we walked around ginza and found a traditional japanese restaurant it was AMAZING we had homemade tofu a lot of sake and tried such great newthings... They steamed rice for us at the table and that's what you see in the picture. Everything was so fresh and we got these amazing vegetables that we so good and a little spicey. But I'm not a huge foodie so just know it was the best meal in japan so far :).

Yuck

so I went to the largest fish market in the world to see all the fresh dead fish which to be truthfully honest is the only animal that I doooo eat. Heard it was a must see and me lili and kimby thuroughly enjoyed running around the playground in 0 degree weather without jackets and in our clothes from going out... Letttt me tell you. I'm completely rethinking eating fish the scene was vial. Most of what we saw was still alive if not it was covered in blood and guts.. Its about 6 am now we've been here for two hours and the market is poppin!! Woww how this goes on every single morning is unbelievable.. Really sorry about being breif I'm cold and freezing and tierd and maybe a little tips but really not really compared to lili hahahhah oh man we make quite a team us girls. I can't even explain how many trucks, vans, moving carts, speeding at us we had to diverge.... Almost died/got run over 50 times but most of the time we would just go around saying the only japanese phrase we know to people and try and take pictures with them... Found fellow sasers and a lot more of our friends. So glad we got thee earlier bc now we have more time to sleep. I'm actually exhausted and tomorrows another jammed packed day.. Still rethinking the whole fish thing ill have to discuss that with my fellow vegans.. Truly an amazing experience and ugh what a fabulous long day... Did I tell you I got 5 jackets/hoodies/sweatshirts... Ugh yess love the shopping here but that's a whole nother topic...
From the future fish you may be eating at a sushi maki or tenjin near you...

RAMEN!

First time I'm reporting about food so here we go... It is NOT easy being vegan in another country let alone one where you can't even read anything on the menu. Although everyone left the ship at different times we all wound up arrive at the hotel at the same time approx 2ish... We checked in put our bags down and then about 11 of us were starving and we started walking around. Now my good friend lucas has family in tokyo and has been here numerous times so he's sorta leading the pack in a way.. we walked into a random ramen place because that was what everyone wanted to try... I don't say anything of course becusse I know its going to be difficult for me anywhere we try to go! Sooooo we sit down and of course lucas can speak some japanese so he's helping everyone order and point to pictures and communicate with the waitor... Here are some girls that are with us eating their ramen! I stook with white rice for now but I'm hoping to get adventurous... A lot of controversey whether or not I should try kobe beef in KOBE... I say no but people are saying otherwise.. All in all its not about what I'm putting in my mouth but about being in this foreign city with such cool people my age! Tonight we go out!!! All the clubs and stuff are right outside our hotel and after lunch were going to walk around one of the shopping areas... So we tried ramen but I'm really looking forward to the sushi!!! Will it be as good as tenjin?? I will let you know...

Action shot!!

So we made it off the boat!! Finallyyyy!! Its took us about an hour and a half to walk from the port to the subway to get to the main yokohama station to pick up our rail passes to get to tokyo! Pheww! I'm wipped. Few are ahead most are behind because they let us off the boat by "sea". Your sea is basically where ur room is located so we are the red sea. Anyway were are now on the JR going to tokyo should be about a 45 minute ride. I'm standing up bc its pretty packed lili managed to jack a seat. When I get tierd I plan on sitting on her. Haha just kidding. On our agenda today... SHOPPING and lots of ittt!!!!! But first were gunna drop our bags off at the hotel. Ps thanks or should I say, oragato, robco for booking it for us! U da best! So excited to be in japan its gunna be such a cool experience and its so clean!!! Pps forcast called for rain but there is no sign of it anywhere!! Hopefully I didn't just speak too soon. So happy to be here yayyy much more to come!

wow

okay so its like 2 am here and im still up for some reason.. let me remind you i've never made it up past midnight here.. okay thats a lie maybe once was up until 12:45 but still this is so late! AND WE WENT BACK ANOTHER HOUR. no longer in guam... now on actual japan (tokyo) time. it was good speaking to some of you already though this morning (aka mom and dad). Global was ok 50 mc questions suffered through it. people were actually falling off their tables during the test. speaking of which i bring some devastating news... because were in such a bad storm (there was an earth quake in japan and theyre on tsnuami watch holy s**t) were going even SLOWER than we normally go and are now going to arrive to japan behind schedule.. not sure when though.. tonight lili and i hosted a get together in our room about 10 people were here it was quite fun first time we ever did that in such a small space.. supposidly theyre going to have the super bowl on for us in the morning which is very exciting but we shall see if that actually works or not.. i started making a "BEST OF SAS" folder on my computer so ill try and post one of those photos as often as possible.. this picture is from the mix and match dance party we had a few nights ago.. ENJOY

let me first say that i really did try to study for this global studies test.. i really tried.. but i got so nauseas from reading in this ridiculous condition we are in i had to go to my room and lay down for a while.. and now i'm back but i'm doing everything i can to avoid going back to reading for this test.. i know i'm getting a C anyway so whats the point? id rather fill you guys in with whats going on here.. okay secondly.. i'm obsessed with this blog and think its so much fun and i'm always thinking of things i can write about so sorry if it becomes excessive. thirdly, i would like to just say that the time of day that it says i posted so far are all incorrect and i have since fixed the time zone so that it coincides with where i am. okay so my computer died to be continued...

Good Morning Followers!!!

this morning i woke up and lili looked at me and said... "molly dont you feel like were crashing.. like were on the titanic or something".. uhh not quite lili but we are bouncing around like crazy!! so our fabulous captain tried three different routes to diverge a storm and now in order for us to get to japan on time we have to go right through it! oh wait.. did i mention today is our first global studies test? the ship has been going crazy over this test, study groups, review sheets all around its one big joke to me but hey some people never adapt that philosophy (dont worry ive put in my fair share of studying too).. anyway the whole boat takes it at the same time so at 7 pm tonight we all spread out all over the ship to take it. cant wait to get it over with!! and then tomorrow is asia day... which means its the day before we get to ASIA! finally!!! it feels like forever and everyone is super pumped for japan... in celebration of ASIA day... lili and I booked massages and manicures! YAY! cant wait to finally relax after this very stressful day.. anyway i wake up at the crack of dawn here because every other night we turn the clock back another hour! so to you east coasters .. have a wonderful evening....im officially in the middle of nowhere as i am on the same time zone as GUAM... In other words I'm 15 hours ahead.. well i gotta go start my day.. gym time is in 20 min!

Wow how cool is this!!!!! I woke up this morning to an email saying I have my own blog! How awesome... So I'm not quite sure how to use it yet but I'm gunna figure it out and play around with it when I get off this internet incapable ship! Thank g0d for my (at&t) blackberry with unlimited data otherwise I couldn't have even been doing this!! But I'm very excited about it and will update you as much as I can about what's going on both on and off land.. Yours truly from the future....
